Alaskan Addition

1520 Square Foot Addition

Avid outdoor enthusiasts, this young couple liked
the charm and rustic feel of their conventional 
log home but found the interior to be dark and 
boxy. 
The design emphasis of this addition was to 
develop a 'modern vernacular' aesthetic 
capable of harmonizing with the existing log 
home...yet free from the heavy confines 
of traditional log building. The new light-filled
addition accomodates space for a growing family
while celebrating the rugged Alaskan wilderness.
