Staying in the Neighborhood Completed 2001. West Meade.
Entire Remodel and Addition
The location of this little home is its greatest
asset. Nested in a historic neighborhood, the
tree lined street is walkable and brimming with
community activity. The growing young family
needed more space but didn't want to break ties
with their community by moving away. A major
remodel was in order, but the challenge was to
create a bigger home that enhanced both the
neighborhood streetscape and the limited
backyard space. Rather than abandoning the
front rooms of the home for a typical "bump out"
addition in the back, the home took on a major
remodel and the addition of a second story.
